Before undertaking his present work at First Financial Tax Group in Boynton Beach and Boca Raton, Florida, tax adviser Barry Kornfeld spent decades helping seniors with their retirement plans. While working with Clearwater, Florida-based AmeriLife, he took control of an office in Aventura, Florida, and led it to a position as one of the company’s top-producing operations.
At Amerifirst Direct, he ran an independent office in Boynton Beach that also rose to the top of the company’s sales charts. Barry Kornfeld has since had similar success with his First Financial Tax Group operations. Mr. Kornfeld’s background lies primarily in tax, estate, and retirement planning for seniors. He is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. His education covered computer science, finance, and accounting, and he has since completed ongoing education related to the financial and personal difficulties faced by seniors. Barry Kornfeld also possesses more than 25 years of experience in helping pre-retirees and retirees to create safer and more predictable retirement outcomes for his clients no matter what happens in the economy. He always emphasizes tax efficiency and firmly believes that saving as much money as possible on taxes is a good retirement planning strategy.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Barry Kornfeld has long maintained an interest in the sport of basketball. He has played on and captained a recreational men’s basketball team for more than a decade, and he coached his sons’ basketball teams for many years as they were growing up. Mr. Kornfeld’s interests outside of sports include several subjects germane to his work as a tax adviser. He studies both the psychology of seniors and the economy, and he has been able to see speeches by several financial luminaries, including former United States Federal Reserve System head Alan Greenspan and David Walker, a former U.S. Comptroller of the Currency.
